Like many things in life, the Points Wizard was born out of a love story. Determined to give his wife, Samantha, her dream honeymoon to New Zealand and French Polynesia, Ryan spent countless hours learning about travel points and miles in order to make this extravagant vacation affordable. The end result of Ryan's work was a three week trip to the iconic South Pacific that included luxury accommodations and first class flights valued at over $26,000.00 for the actual price of a few date nights. 

What initially started as a simple challenge to give his wife a spectacular vacation has since developed into a lifelong passion for travel points and miles. Since that fateful Honeymoon, Ryan has used his expertise in the field to help various individuals and families navigate the rewarding world of collecting and redeeming points and miles for optimal value.

In particular, Ryan has put together flight and hotel packages for trips ranging from weekend getaways to Austin and New Orleans to international vacations in destinations such as Thailand, Hong Kong, Southern Italy, Croatia, and Turkey for virtually nothing out of pocket. Ryan has further shared his tricks of the trade as a contributing writer for the acclaimed travel blog, The Points Guy.
